General Conditions

🚗 Export of your car is done with a TITLE (US tech passport), which the auction sends within 30 days after purchase. After receiving the Title, a booking is made for the container. The container is booked a week before the ship leaves 🇺🇸.

Shipping line can shift the ship outbound at any time. A U.S. port can be congested, or there may be a port strike or shortage of containers. All these factors affect the shipment schedule.

Shipping Delays

• HAZMAT IMO container (electric cars, hybrids).
• Containers in California often have delays in shipping.
• Seasonal delays in NJ, especially from December through February.
• After 30 days of free storage, a $10/day storage fee starts.

Auction Liability

⚠️ When buying from IAAI & Copart insurance auctions, there are risks associated with the auction's limited liability to buyers. Cars are sold *as is* without any warranty. This means:

• Additional damage may occur, such as scratches or missing parts.
• Auctions are not responsible for damage or loss during transportation or storage.
